| Course Description | Child protection is a growing national and global priority that requires trained professionals to safeguard children’s rights and ensure their safety, well-being, and holistic development. As child protection challenges become increasingly complex, there is a pressing need for specialised education and capacity building in this field.
To address this need, the Centre for Child Protection (CCP), Sardar Patel University of Police, Security and Criminal Justice (SPUP), Jodhpur, in partnership with UNICEF Rajasthan, offers India’s first dedicated Certificate Course in Child Protection through the distance learning mode. This pioneering programme is designed to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of child rights, child protection laws, policies, institutional mechanisms, and best practices. It combines academic learning with practical insights to build the knowledge and skills required to work effectively in the child protection sector. The programme is ideal for professionals from law enforcement agencies, Child Welfare Committees (CWCs), Juvenile Justice Boards (JJBs), Child Care Institutions (CCIs), Anti-Human Trafficking Units (AHTUs), government departments, NGOs, Panchayati Raj Institutions, as well as students and individuals aspiring to build a career in child protection. By strengthening professional competencies and promoting evidence-based practice, this unique programme prepares participants to contribute meaningfully to the protection, development, and participation of children while addressing the growing demand for qualified child protection professionals across India. |
