Centre for Child Protection has opened the application for Certificate / Diploma Course in Child and Adolescent Counselling. This course will be run on the mode of ‘Walkout procedure’. Thus, following curriculum scheme will be followed:
• 06 months for Certificate Course (One semester of six months).
• 01 year for Diploma Course (Two semesters – each semester of six months).
If participant wishes to leave the course after completion of six months, then Certificate in Child and Adolescent Counselling will be awarded provided he/she successfully passes the examination. Participants who complete one year will be eligible for the award of Diploma in Child and Adolescent Counselling after successfully passing the examination.
After the completion of this programme, the learner will be able to understand the nature of personality of children of different categories and the complexity of childhood. Learner will understand deeply the problems and issues which child face in this complex world. The learner will acquire those skills by which child counselling could take place effectively. The content structure of the course will encourage learner to have effective and emotional interface with children. Such interface will provide opportunities and spaces to children for entering into resocialization process so that they could get functional accommodation with the society. This programme also provides proper understanding about those legal mechanisms by which crisis before children could be resolved. It also leads to understanding of how appropriate rehabilitation for children can take place. The course is planned as per CCP’s objective of running and mainstreaming courses on issues impacting life of children with focus on child protection. The number of participants will be decided as per the demand for course, but the number of participants in one batch will not be more than 50. The course will be run in distance mode with contact phases and orientation taking place with participants.
