Research and Publications
As one of the core tasks, the Centre focuses on conducting research studies on issues related to children. These researches are conducted so as to analyse and understand the actual situation the children are into and pave ways for formulating preventive mechanisms and corrective plan of action. Unless the ground reality is reached, nothing much can be done, specially when it concerns children. Recently, four research studies viz. ‘Care and Protection of Children of Women Prisoners’, ‘Rehabilitation of Children in Conflict with Law’ and ‘Mapping of Critical Needs of the Residents in Open Jails’ have been conducted at the Centre. The reports shall be uploaded on the website upon finalisation. Two research studies are in process to be accomplished in this year. Various kind of publications related to Child Rights and Child Safety are also rolled out so that the stakeholders may also have a reach to the work that is being done by the Centre and to create awareness among the target groups and the masses. They are circulated among the police personnel and various stakeholders periodically. These publications are also placed at CCP Library and SPUP Library.
