DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE

Ms. Lata Manoj Kumar, IPS

Additional DGP, AHTU, Civil Rights & Community Policing
Director, Centre for Child Protection (CCP)
Sardar Patel University of Police, Security and Criminal Justice, Jodhpur

Children shape the future of our society, and ensuring their safety, dignity, and overall development is both a moral duty and a constitutional responsibility. The Centre for Child Protection works to strengthen systems that protect children from abuse, exploitation, neglect, and violence.

By bringing together law enforcement, academia, and community engagement, the Centre supports child protection through research, training, academic programmes, and field-based initiatives. Our efforts are guided by national laws, child-centred principles, and internationally accepted child rights standards.

I firmly believe that effective child protection requires strong inter-agency coordination, informed policing, and community participation. Prevention, timely response, and rehabilitation must work together as a unified system.

I look forward to working closely with students, faculty, police personnel, civil society organisations, and government stakeholders to further strengthen CCP as a centre of excellence in child protection education, research, and practice.

Together, we can build systems that not only respond to harm but also actively prevent it.

Jai Hind!
